The NYC Chapter of Surfrider Foundation & Nouvelle Vague LA presents New York, New Wave, a Surfrider Foundation fundraiser and silent auction hosted by surfing savants Kassia Meador and Mikey DeTemple, taking place September 15th at the Bowery Hotel on Manhattan’s lower east side. New York, New Wave brings together New York’s finest artists, photographers and filmmakers for one huge night of incredible art, music, drinks and community spirit. Partnering with New York, New Wave is SMASH Productions (Surf-Movies-Art-Shaping-History) which has curated music performances from iDeath (Andrew Van Wyngarden of MGMT) and film showings from New York filmmakers such as Michael Halsband, Mikey DeTemple, Mark Temme, and more.

New York, New Wave is an event aimed at bringing together New York’s Surf community under one roof celebrating not only the end of the Quiksilver Pro New York, but the new wave of NY surf life.

Proceeds will benefit the Surfrider Foundation NYC Chapter, Stoked Mentoring, Waves for Development and the Hurricane Irene relief effort.
