A community gets the art it deserves. Here, it’s the 15th annual Gowanus Open Studios (presented by AGAST). 135 artists. 32 sites. October 15th & 16th Noon-6:00, 2011

In the intimacy of our workspaces, visitors to this free event meet Brooklyn artists, buy art, and watch art being made. Our studios are in industrial buildings, garages, brownstones and warehouses. We paint, sculpt, install, photograph, draw, print, video, mix media, and throw clay. Find something you love. Be inspired to create.

At the juncture of Park Slope and Carroll Gardens, near Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill and Red Hook, get to Gowanus Open Studios by foot, bike, kayak, bus, subway, LIRR, and car. Our 2011 information HUB is The Brooklyn Artists Gym 168 7th St (between 2nd & 3rd Aves) 718 858 9069
