An exciting corporate art challenge showcasing environmental support!

In partnership with Tekserve
Date: Friday afternoon, December 9th, 2011 from 2pm – 5pm.
Location: Tekserve. 119 W. 23rd Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues (accessible by the F, M, 1, 2, trains
and M1, M2, M3, M5, M7, M20 buses)
The Challenge: Create a sculpture from re-cycled materials to raise awareness for a specific environmental
issue. Why? Because this unique and beautiful piece of art will represent the enhancement rather than the
soiling of the environment.
Team Building: By working with your group of 4 members, you enhance team building and communication,
improve professional cognitive skills and creativity, while also having fun!
Materials: Brought to you by the Arts & Business Council of NY and the ultimate recycling center – New York
City’s Materials for the Arts (MFTA). Each team will be provided with a sealed container of recyclable items,
sketching materials for planning, and assemblage tools (duct tape, string, pipe cleaners).
Program: Each team will have 2 hours for completion.
Winner: Esteemed judge Dorothy Globus, Director of Exhibitions, Museum of Arts and Design will choose the
winner and the winning entry will be displayed in the Tekserve window, 119 W. 23rd Street location.
