Proposals will be accepted from artists and media makers to create collaborative, large-scale creative work in BRIC’s new facility
The opening of BRIC House will bring extraordinary new opportunities for artists and media makers. The BRIC House Fireworks Residency program is one such opportunity supported, in part, with a generous grant from the Rockefeller Foundation’s NYC Cultural Innovation Fund.
Fireworks is a residency and commissioning program for collaborative teams of artists interested in developing new, multidisciplinary work. The program provides technical and financial resources to develop large-scale creative projects that cross—or erase—artistic boundaries. Artists selected for the Fireworks residency will be given broad access to BRIC House and our state-of-the-art production equipment to develop their projects. They will also receive financial support, and production staff, and will be aided by our Residency Manager and a creative advisor. With this residency, we hope to facilitate innovative creative explorations, collisions, and public engagement.
Pilot Project to debut in 2013, featuring the work of Julian Crouch, Mark Stewart and Ragnar Friedank
