Mason Saltarrelli creates dynamic narrative works on paper and wood that utilize religious, tribal and personal symbology to relay abstracted context.
Inspired through the folk tale, Saltarrelli intermixes icons, saints, kachinas and personal language for an open ended story. A weathered patina provides an agelessness further influenced by occasionally dating pieces by the date of Saltarrelli’s birth, rather than chronologically.
