On-line gallery, State of Wonder (www.stateofwonderart.c om) presents their first exhibit of original artwork and limited edition prints at Picture Farm Gallery, 338 Wythe Avenue Brooklyn. The exhibit opening is Friday, November 8th, 6-10 pm.
This inaugural group show includes the work of six artists who are featured on the State of Wonder website. Tokyo-born artist Yuri Shimojo, on the heels of a recent exhibit at a historical Zen temple in Kyoto, will show her 2-color serigraph prints. Rob Fischer’s mounted photographs of the nocturnal movements of animals, which he captured on a ‘trail camera’ used by hunters to track animal behaviors, are both haunting and humorous. Cynthia Rojas creates a brand new mythology on her set of beautifully painted ceramic plates. Inspired by nature, history and art, Linda Zimmermann’s collages capture the poetry in found materials. Sara Woster’s limited edition screen prints are overlaid with an explosion of mixed media, collage and ink.
