In painting, I set up an environment where I make bold intentional moves on the canvas while embracing the unpredictable fluidity of the paint – a process in which I am both intellectually acting and instinctually reacting to the natural movement of the piece. Through this dance, I strive to create images that engage on both cerebral and visceral levels.
