About the Artist
I am an artist living in Bed-Stuy and working in Gowanus. I work primarily with painting, sculpture and video, in order to pull painting out of two dimensions and into the third (and therefore truly inhabitable) dimension.
My current body of work often addresses rapidly changing relationships between humans and our planet by examining our internality or externality in regards to the natural world. The conflation of the concepts of landscape and ecosystem allows me to explore space not just as a signifier of human environment, but as an actor, with an agenda defined not by desire but by inescapably physical systems like evolution, geological change and climate shifts.
