City College Center for the Arts (CCCA) presents Void of Death, a new exhibit featuring the work of Julio Mejia. The solo exhibit highlights large abstract paintings by the artist, each overflowing with color, movement and intensity. The gestural creations give voice to Mejia’s own personal journey and serve as an homage to his culture and family history. Void of Death opens on Tuesday, September 12 and runs through Monday, November 27 in the gallery of Aaron Davis Hall. Aaron Davis Hall is located on the campus of City College at West 135th Street and Convent Avenue in Manhattan; gallery hours are 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday through Friday.
