Are you here for the wedding or the funeral?
Set in an abandoned house on Governors Island, ECC’s “A Ribbon About A Bomb” explores issues of duality in women artists as told through the embodiment of three female surrealist artists, Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo, and of course iconic Frida Kahlo. Two different simultaneous tracks (wedding or funeral) take audiences through the nine rooms of the house where installation art and performance are woven together.
