Day de Dada Performance Art Collective produces events based on concepts of the dada and fluxus art movements who used chance, nonsense and word play. Day de Dada presents spontaneous and experimental performance art pieces with audience participation and interaction.
Day de Dada is organizing a “fashion show” performance event featuring costumes and wearable art on Sunday, April 29th at the Westbeth Community Space in the West Village, New York City. The performances will be from 6:00-8:00 pm.
We are looking for interactive, costume-based performances from 5 – 8 minutes long. You can perform in a costume, have the audience interact with you in the costume, or simply strut your stuff as a model. Or any other ideas you have! There will be a sound system available, but please keep tech down to a minimum. There will be limited time for set up between performers.
Please send a description of what you would like to do, and performance length. Photos or links to youtube/vimeo welcome. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. Final lineup will be chosen based on originality, length of performance, and adherence to the costume theme. All submissions will be reviewed and responded to.
Deadline for Proposals: April 7, 2018
All submissions will be reviewed and responded to by April 9th.
