“…to be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Gallery House presents “Knowing me, Knowing you” which explores the identities, perspectives, and personal experiences of young creators. The exhibition will show that artists’ the evidence of their thoughts and creative processes, as manipulated by the world around them. It is an intimate look at narrative-based artwork complemented by journal-like entries, sketches, progress logs, and photographs. Original works and reproduction of the works such as post card will be sold and auctioned off to benefit the Children’s Arts Guild.
The Children’s Arts Guild is a non-profit organization based in New York City, encourage children to embrace, value, and express their own experiences, and in the process discover the joy and excitement of learning through creativity and education.
Gallery House is a program of the DGT Foundation, provides participating students (Gallery House Interns) with a semester-long, real-life experience in curating, promoting, and managing an exhibit benefiting a local non-profit.
We are looking forward to see you the 26th of April!
