Art advisory firm, Vernissage, is delighted to present an exceptionally curated selection of paintings by artist and author, Hooper C. Dunbar. The New York exhibition will be held at the Van Der Plas Gallery in the Lower East Side on Friday, May 4th from 2-8 pm and by appointment only, on Saturday, May 5th.

Hooper C. Dunbar was raised in Los Angeles, experiencing old Hollywood and the creativity it spun. Dunbar’s artwork has elements of faith and nature, while intertwining spontaneity and movement. His meticulous technique allows for a viewer to delve into the artist’s mind and soul. He’s allowing and promoting appreciation of the viewer’s surroundings and the viewer’s own self by displaying a landscape of inner and outer worlds. Dunbar’s usage of light allows for etherialist qualities to be present in his artwork and, through his involvement and inspiration from Baha’i, he is considered a spiritual abstract expressionist.
