The Seeds of Hope Gala raises funds for NAMI NYC-Metro’s no-cost programs which include four multi-week education courses, more than twenty support groups and public education that help more than New York City residents each year. The event will recognize those that help normalize conversations around mental illness, promote healthy work environments and further reduce stigma that so often gets in the way of one’s ability of access needed resources.

In the past, the event honored Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Patrick Kennedy, First Lady of New York City Chirlane McCray and NFL free agent Brandon Marshall. Hosts have included actors Chris Noth, Vincent Piazza and Mariel Hemingway.
