“Musical Pioneers: Paintings by Thomas Cale” on Exhibit at Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor and Art Gallery in Morningside Heights; Details of Opening Reception Announced

The Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor and Art Gallery in Morningside Heights announced today that a new exhibit, “Musical Pioneers: Paintings by Thomas Cale” is now on display. On January 23rd from 7-10pm, an opening reception will take place at the venue, which is located at 1135 Amsterdam Avenue in New York City.

The collection features Cale’s use of broad brush strokes and bold colors; the artist is known for a signature style that captures the essence of his subjects. Since graduating from State University of New York at New Paltz with a degree in visual arts, a dozen of Cale’s art shows including “Village People,” “Infamous Mugs,” “Exile in Art,” and “Blue Notes” have been exhibited. Cale is also actively involved in the Hudson Valley arts community, where he’s served as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Gallery@Rhinebeck. He is also a frequent part of the annual Art Studio Views Tour, serves on the Board of Rhinebeck Porchfest, and works as the art and music writer for Living Rhinebeck magazine, which he co-publishes. He also heads up a weekly volunteer art program for residents at Anderson Center for Autism.

The exhibit, now on display, will formally open with the January 23rd reception, which is free of charge and open to the public. L.I.C. Beer Project will sponsor the reception. This exhibit can be enjoyed at the Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor and Art Gallery through February, 2019.
