Cuchifritos Gallery + Project Space is pleased to present Push/Pull, an exhibition of new work by LES Studio Program Resident Boohri Park, on view from October 25, 2019 through November 17, 2019.
Doors and windows are the elements that often appear in Park’s work. They accentuate the separation between the exterior and the realm of the interior, while also enabling us to overcome that boundary and put two distinct worlds into dialogue with one another. Opening, closing, and moving through passageways is one of the most banal acts of our daily life, however, this simple gesture has a strong significance in our social life, culture, and psyche. Push/Pull focuses on this act of opening and closing, using the door as a space where sculptures and drawings can play with depth, plane, and light.
