Biodesign Challenge is shaping the first generation of biodesigners. Join us online for the culmination of Biodesign Challenge 2020, an international competition where students partner with artists, designers, and scientists to create projects that envision and critique the future of biotechnology and its role in society.
Forty-five finalist teams will showcase their speculative and prototype projects before an esteemed panel of judges from academia, the arts, and industry, and audiences from around the world. One team will be awarded the Glass Microbe, a unique glass sculpture by artist Luke Jerram, that is passed between each year’s winning teams.
Finalist teams were chosen from over 500 students from 12 countries across 6 continents who worked throughout the academic year to develop their ideas.
Speakers will include David Benjamin, Founding Principal of The Living and Associate Professor at Columbia GSAPP, and Annalee Newitz, award-winning science fiction author and science journalist.
RSVP to receive more details. We’ll be sending updates and announcements to all registered guests.
