Join artist Alvaro D Marquez and poet Janet Rogers share how they came together across borders, mediums, and cultures to create an original new art work “Strong as Cornstalks,” as part of the Connecting Perspectives art initiative produced by The Social Distancing Festival and the Consulate General of Canada in New York. This gorgeous collaboration is a playful and powerful look at shared histories and the movement of people prior to the imposition of colonial borders, and the power symbol of creation that corn has become. This event is free and will be livestreamed.
