Colony and textile designer, Hiroko Takeda, will be hosting the Tama Art University Student exhibition from March 17- March 31 at Colony’s showroom (324 Canal St, 2nd Floor). The show marks Colony’s first-ever student show, featuring blanket designs from students at Tama Art University who studied under Hiroko Takeda. Students will have their first artistic debut and showcase the way they reinvented Hiroko Takeda’s sculptural fiber art teachings into their own work. Hiroko Takeda is a New York based Japanese artist that studied in Kyoto, Tokyo, and London with artwork commissioned for private collections and architects.
