Every generation has been gifted with a select number of visionaries— typically in the form of creators, innovators, and the bold. These visionaries are devoted to the acceleration of human evolution, and what’s more— the improvement of the human condition. A brief trip through history will also prove that each generation is faced with a great deal of adversity. For example— the late 18th and early 19th century was riddled with revolution, violence, and war. Francisco Goya— the famed Spanish painter and etcher—called out the hypocrisy of the moment with work that powerfully reflected the evil of man. His Third of May 1808 painting remains one of the most poignant anti war symbols to this day and continues to remind observers of the danger of totalitarianism. Monet challenged the standards of art by capturing the essence of time with visible brush strokes— Picasso shattered the previously held conception of beauty, perception, and sexuality…

In modernity— we, too, have a robust group of visionaries to see us through the current adversarial time in which we live. One of those visionaries— is Halim Flowers. An Autodidact, Halim A. Flowers (b. 1980, Washington, DC) is a visual artist, spoken word performer, entrepreneur, and author of eleven published non-fiction works. His work not only powerfully points the errs of society— but also generates a new trajectory of culture. A firm believer in the notion that “Love Is the Antibody”— Flowers body of work ushers in self realization while also infusing his vision with hope, kindness, and resilience.
