The Macy Art Gallery at Teachers College, Columbia University is thrilled to present the work of accomplished artist and member of faculty Joy Moser. Celebrating the mystery behind beauty: this series of oil paintings presents Joy Moser’s probing observations of the almost infinite play of sky and clouds in a breathtaking sequel to her 2017 exhibition Night Clouds.

variety of tone, color and composition that I found
around me; sky, mist and water appeared to fill a
hunger to look again and again. There was mystery
and danger lurking behind the beauty, and my
aim was to try to avoid the cliche and explore the
infinite structure of the visual landscape.”
