All those who love flowers should be aware of the artist Daniel Bilodeau, who translates his love of florals into richly detailed contemporary paintings. A solo show of all floral works entitled BLOOM opens with a free reception on January 20th, 2024 at Arcadia Contemporary Gallery in SoHo and runs through February 4th. Microcosms of detail are found in these lifelike oil paintings, conveying the wonder inherent in the gorgeous structure of all sorts of flowers. Having these polished, realistic works in a space is to continuously enjoy the feeling presence of flowers without their quick decay.
Daniel Bilodeau, a renowned Canadian-American artist, is celebrated for reinvigorating the floral art tradition with a contemporary instinct. Bilodeau’s work has been widely exhibited in museums, galleries and art fairs on four continents.
