This exhibition includes thirty-one works in a range of media by twenty-seven artists spanning more than a century. Organized in thematic sections, the exhibition examines the use of various portrait conventions and the ways in which these are either maintained or subverted as the artists explore both highly personal subject matter and broader social and historical concerns. On view Feb. 25–Jun. 30, 2024. Museum admission is free. Hours are Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
