Julie Bowers Murphy’s first solo show in Manhattan serves as a visual pairing of those who sin, and those who forgive. The artist writes: As an artist I feel compelled to tell a satirical story of modern times: where lying is normalized, art is held hostage, the greedy get greedier, hatred and division is at its worst: all factors combined forcing many to dig deeper into their vices as coping mechanisms. It poses the question: Will we be forgiven for our sins?
