Noted artist Simon Waranch will showcase a new collection of art in glass at his New York debut, in an exhibition organized in conjunction with the Pollock-Krasner House in East Hampton, NY. Bonner David Galleries New York will kick off an entire season of Simon Waranch’s works September 12 at their Upper East Side location which will soon be followed by an opening at the Pollock-Krasner House beginning November 8 and running through spring 2025.
This collaborative show symbolically highlights the importance of the relationship between artist, patron and gallerist in the trajectory of an artist’s career, much in the spirit of gallerist Peggy Guggenheim supporting the livelihood of Jackson Pollock. The owners and curators of Bonner David along with the director of the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center are devoted to supporting the burgeoning career of wunderkind artist Simon Waranch who’s primary medium is glass. This will be the first winter exhibition held at the historic site.
“As our local community evolves and the year-round population in Springs, East Hampton, grows, the Pollock-Krasner House aims to provide additional programming and on-site experiences during periods traditionally considered to be ‘off- season’,” says Director Matthew Ward, “Waranch’s work brings a sense of fun, life, and formal experimentation which conveys that shift.”
Waranch is inspired by the inherent patterns he not only sees in the process of making glass but also in the way these patterns reflect symbolically in his career and influences.
