GR Gallery is pleased to present Misfits, the first New York City solo exhibition by Daniel Nuñez. The exhibition features a new body of work including paintings on canvas and drawings that explore everyday situations through irony, freedom, and subtle resistance. Nuñez examines the inner creativity that defines certain individuals, revealing the untamed, unconventional side of the commonplace.

As the title suggests, Misfits is dedicated to outsiders and nonconformists: those who break rules without spectacle, who live on the margins by choice or necessity, and who resist assimilation into the mainstream. The works reflect on solitude, independence, and the quiet courage required to follow one’s own path, positioning freedom as both a personal and creative act.

The artist will be present at the opening reception.
