Poster House, the first museum in the United States dedicated to the global history of posters, is hosting a poster scavenger hunt for teens on Saturday, August 17 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The scavenger Hunt will begin at the New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West and end at Poster House 119 W. 23rd Street. Tickets are free.
The scavenger hunt, inspired by the acclaimed exhibition Wonder City of the World: New York City Travel Posters will involve teens traveling though the Upper West Side through Chelsea seeking out posters. After, the teens will be provided snacks, music, activities, and prizes.
A limited number of Metrocards will be provided at the start of the program.
Teens must submit a waiver signed by a parent or guardian in order to participate. PH x Teens is a program for young adults ages 13 to 18 focusing on drop-in art activities and college and career prep.
