About the Exhibition
Pieces of Time presents a series of small collages by Brenda Goodman, a painter whose work has been shown in about 50 solo exhibitions since 1973. The collages combine pencil and watercolor with images drawn from her own paintings, which she reduced in Photoshop and printed. The series runs to about 26 works.
Goodman was born in Detroit in 1943 and lived in New York City from 1976 to 2009. She now lives and works in Pine Hill, New York, in the Catskill Mountains. Of her current work, she has said, “I take risks with my work.”
